How to Make a Burlap Fall Banner {with Needle and Twine}

I ♥ burlap! I just love it… I love the color, the rustic feel, and aaalllll the fall projects I have seen lately on the web-er-net! So when I wanted a banner to decorate for Fall, well, it was a no brainer!

But this ain’t your average burlap banner.. no.. no.. no. I wanted to do something a little on the edge. Like some twine on the edge. I didn’t want to break out the hot glue gun and risk burning my fingertips again trying to get that little strand of twine to stick to the back. So I decided I would break out the needle and thread twine! That’s right… I made my DIY burlap banner with burlap and twine… that’s it!

So here goes… a step-by-step tutorial so you can make one too!!

First, gather your supplies! It’s pretty easy… burlap, twine, a pair of scissors, black scrapbook paper, and a big fat needle… one with a big enough eye to handle your twine. Lucky for me, I had some awesome burlap on hand. Remember my swag from Haven.. yup.. Online Fabric Store rocks!
